A three-day International Fire Safety and Security Expo will begin at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Friday (February 17).
The exhibition will showcase the latest advancements in fire safety and security technologies from leading global brands. Visitors can explore these innovations at the venue from 11 am to 8 pm till February 19.
The Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) is going to organise the ninth edition of the event.
Md Niaz Ali Chishty, president of ESSAB, revealed the detailed information at a press conference held at the National Press Club in the capital on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, ESSAB President Chishty emphasized on the growing importance of fire safety amidst Bangladesh’s rapid economic expansion and reiterated ESSAB’s commitment to organising the expo to create awareness about fire risks.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Chishty announced that Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser, Salman F Rahman, MP, will inaugurate the exhibition.
More than 100 prominent companies from 30 countries will participate with their cutting-edge fire safety and security products across three main categories: fire safety solutions, security solutions, and building of automation, he added.
Besides, ESSAB will honor the families of firefighters for their courageous contributions to firefighting and rescue efforts.
ESSAB’s Senior Vice President SM Shahjahan Saju, General Secretary Zakir Uddin Ahmed, Joint General Secretary Mahmood-E-Khoda, Publicity Secretary Md Nazrul Islam, and representatives from the Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense were present at the press conference.
