Two youths were arrested by the police while forcibly abducting a woman named Nachima Akhter Ratna in Bayezid area of Chittagong under the identity of fake DB. This incident happened on Monday (February 13) afternoon.

Bayezid Bostami Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjay Kumar Sinha said, on Monday afternoon Nachima Begum went to Ratna’s house. Emon Hossain Munna identified himself as DB Police. He demands 10,000 rupees as Ratna deals in drugs. If he doesn’t pay, he asks Ratna to go with him. Ratna’s neighbor Maina Begum asked her to show her police ID card when she tried to force her into a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw when Ratna refused to pay. They tried to take Ratna in an autorickshaw without showing her ID card.
He also said that the locals arrested the two people after Ratna shouted. At this time one ran away. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and arrested them and recovered two mobile phones. A picture of the accused Eamon in police uniform is found on the mobile phone. Legal action has been taken against the accused. Efforts are on to nab the fugitive.
