Chittagong will be transformed into Silicon City in the future

State Minister for Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said that if any innovative youth of Chittagong wants to become an entrepreneur, the current government is ready to provide all the services they need. The Prime Minister has already given three gifts to Chittagong, they are construction of 10-storey Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator Center, Sheikh Kamal IT Training Center Incubation at a cost of Tk 100 crore, and another is that a place has been selected to build a knowledge park.
The state minister also said that for the development of Bangladesh and to fulfill the Prime Minister’s dream, we have to turn IT freelancers in our country into entrepreneurs through proper training. There are many people who are working from villages, upazilas and online marketplaces of the country and abroad through outsourcing. If they can use their experience and skills and turn them into entrepreneurs, there can be employment arrangements for thousands of youth.
He said these things while appearing as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 5th International Technology Fair organized by Chittagong Chambers and Commerce at the city’s World Trade Center today. After the speech, the state minister visited various stalls and announced the auspicious opening of the fair by blowing balloons.
President of Chittagong Chambers and Commerce Omar Hajjaz, President of Society of Chittagong IT Professional. Abdullah Farid, Shafos Country Manager S. M. Mohsin, Advise Shipan Kumar of Technology Fair spoke. Chittagong Chambers and Commerce President Omar Hajjaz gave a welcome speech on the occasion. Also, directors of Chambers of Commerce, numerous entrepreneurs and journalists from print and electronic media were present.
The fair will be held on February 17, 18 and 19 from 10 am to 8 pm for three days. A total of 64 stalls of 40 companies are sitting here
