Guidelines for observing International Mother Language Day in all schools

All educational institutions including English medium schools under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education have been instructed to observe Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day. All schools, colleges and offices have been asked to pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the language movement on February 1st. Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has asked students to write poems, stories and creative writings and draw pictures and present them on the Sheikh Russel wall of schools and colleges in accordance with the national program.
Maushi’s office has said in the order about hoisting the flag that all educational institutions and offices should keep the national flag of correct color and size at half-mast in order to celebrate the day. The national flag should be hoisted at half-mast at sunrise and lowered at sunset. The order has been sent to the principals and field level education officers of all government-private schools-colleges under Maushi.
