The candidates for reserved seats for women submits nomination papers to the Returning Officer by 4pm on Sunday as today is the last day for submission.
Election Commission secretary Md Jahangir Alam said “ruling Awami League will get 48 seats out of 50, while the Jatiya Party will get the rest two”.
List of voters has already been prepared. If there is no challenger, a vote will not be required. However, the parties have already announced their list of candidates. There is no chance of a vote on it, said the Election Management Wing officials of the EC.
After the scrutiny is done, the candidates will have an open window to withdraw by February 25.
