People of Chittagong remembered with deep respect

The people of Chittagong remember the brave martyrs with deep respect. On the first hour of February 1st, the Shahid Minar premises of Chittagong became full of people.

People started gathering to pay their respects at the temporary Shaheed Minar on the premises of the city’s Municipal Model High School after 11 pm on Tuesday (February 20). Flowers were in the hands of people of various professions including various organizations.
The ceremony of paying homage at Shaheed Minar started at 12:01 PM with an armed police salute.

Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Rezaul Karim Chowdhury paid tribute by first flowers at Shaheed Minar. Councilors and officers of Chasik were present at this time.
Later, Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Tofail Islam, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Additional IG Krishna Pad Roy, Chittagong Range DIG Nur Alam Meena, Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah, Zilla Parishad Chairman ATM Payrul Islam and Metropolitan Brave freedom fighter Commander Mozaffar Ahmed.
Besides, the leaders and activists under the leadership of AJM Nashir Uddin, General Secretary of Metropolitan Awami League, gave flowers. Chittagong Press Club and other organizations paid tribute to Shahid Minar with flowers
On the other hand, Chawkbazar Ward Awami League paid tribute by first flowers at Chittagong College Shaheed Minar. Ward Awami League president, general secretary and activists were present at this time.
