8 Armed Police Battalion (APBN) has arrested four Rohingya terrorists along with a large amount of ammunition in Jamtoli Rohingya Camp of Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar.
At that time, 5 one-shot guns, 1 locally made LG, 36 rounds of rifle bullets, 8 rounds of bullet shells, 4 rounds of shotgun cartridges, 3 hand-made grenades, 3 firecrackers, 1 wakitki set, 2 big daggers, 1 sling and 2 irons were recovered from them. Rod was able to recover.
The arrested are Mohammad Amin (23), Petan Sharif (43), Abul Kashem (33) and Syedur Rahman (25).
The operation was carried out at E-5 Block of Jamtoli Rohingya Camp No. 15 in Ukhiya at 11 pm on Thursday (February 22).
The arrested accused were handed over to Ukhia police station on Friday afternoon. This information was confirmed in a press release sent by APBN.
In this regard, 8 APBN Captain (Additional DIG) Amir Zafar confirmed the truth of the incident.
He said that this operation was carried out on the basis of secret information. They planned a major sabotage inside the Rohingya camp.
