2 kg 440 grams of gold was recovered from inside the branding machine found in the baggage of two passengers at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong. The estimated market value of salvaged gold is Tk 2 crore 27 lakh 34 thousand 760.
These golds were recovered from two passengers who came on Air Arabia Airlines flight G9-526 from Sharjah at 6:40 am on Saturday (March 2).
According to customs sources, the flight G9-526 of Air Arabia Airlines from Sharjah arrived at Chittagong Airport at 6:40 am on Saturday. As usual, after the custom scanning, customs detectives and NSI joint initiative of Chittagong porter Sirajul Islam’s son Md. Shafiqul Islam’s baggage was searched and 1 kg 240 grams of gold was found inside a household machine. The estimated value of which is 1 crore 7 lakh 34 thousand 760 taka.
On the same flight Hathajarir Md. Solaiman’s son. 1 kg 200 grams of gold is recovered from Morshed’s Ana Kovax high pressure washer machine. The estimated market value of which is around 1 crore 20 lakh taka
