Saturday weekend to be canceled in educational institutions: Education Minister

Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel has said that Saturday weekend may be canceled in educational institutions to avoid controversy in order to keep the holidays effective in the month of Ramadan. He said this at the Independence Day discussion meeting held at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium on Tuesday (March 26).
The Education Minister said, ‘History was distorted more by the Ministry of Education and Education during the post-seventies period. Governments of this time have made no mean attempt to establish a lie which they have not made. Misconstrued the power of the Liberation War side in various ways. In Bangabandhu’s Bengal, people of all castes and religions will live freely. There is still a force active to drive the education system towards orthodoxy.’
There have been various types of propaganda regarding the opening of schools during the holy month of Ramadan. In this regard, the Minister of Education said, ‘Since the matter has come up this year. We will try in the future to have 52 Saturdays in a year. If there is a school that is open a little bit, then we can stop the controversy that is going on in Ramadan, the efforts of those who are trying to create controversy. We will make a plan for that purpose.
Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury commented that it must be respectful instead of sensitive. He said, ‘I will discuss these issues with the scholars, they have a position on this. In the future, the education family will properly establish the basic principles of the constitution, the spirit of the liberation war, we will create a balanced Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, leader Sheikh Hasina, where even the backward people will not be deprived of educational opportunities.
