There is no shortage of security for the New Year celebrations in Chittagong: CMP Commissioner

Chittagong Police Commissioner Krishnapad Roy believes that there is no ‘threat’ despite the ‘negative’ campaign on social media about Bengali New Year.
However, considering all aspects, there is no shortage in the security of the New Year event and the police are prepared to deal with all kinds of situations, he said.

He said this to the reporters after visiting the DC Hill Park, one of the venues of Pahela Boishakh in the port city on Saturday.
Before that, CMP Commissioner CRB also visited the venue of Pahela Boishakh event.

CMP Commissioner Krishnapad Roy said, “There are various kinds of talk about the New Year, we see it on social media. But I want to say – we don’t have any specific threat. But we are fully prepared to deal with any worst-case scenario.”
