Two students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) were killed in a road accident in the area adjacent to Selina Quader Chowdhury College on Kaptai Road in Chittagong.
The deceased are – Shanto Saha, a student of the 20th batch of the Civil Engineering department of Cuet and Taufiq Hossain, a student of the 21st batch. Shanta Saha is the son of Kajal Saha of Ward No. 4 of Narsingdi Sadar and Taufik is the son of Mohammad Delwar Hossain of Ward No. 2, New College Road, Sudharam, Noakhali.
According to locals, Cuet student Shanta and Taufiq were on a motorcycle. The accident happened when a reckless bus hit them.
Cuet Deputy Director (Public Relations) Fazlur Rahman said Shanto Saha’s body is in Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Taufiq’s body is in Evercare Hospital. Will be handed over to family after legal process.
