HC wants list of Rohingya voters in Cox’s Bazar

The High Court on Wednesday asked the authorities concerned to submit the list of Rohingyas who have been registered as voters in Cox’s Bazar.

Cox’s Bazar DC and other concerned have been asked to submit this list before the court within June 6.

At the same time, the court ordered to exclude 38 Rohingyas of Eidgaon Union in Cox’s Bazar from the voter list.

An HC bench of Justice Naima Hayder and Justice Kazi Jinat Haque passed the order.

Earlier on Tuesday, Adv Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mollah filed the writ seeking directives to submit the list of Rohingya voters who got the citizenship of Cox’s Bazar.

At the same time, he also urged to exclude Rohingys from the voter list.
