The government has reduced the price of a 12kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk30.
The new price will be Tk1,363, down from Tk1,393, at the consumer level.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (Berc) announced the new tariff, which will be effective from Monday evening.
At the same time, the Berc reduced the price of autogas on Monday.
The price of autogas, including VAT, has been fixed at Tk62.53 per litre at the consumer level.
On May 2, the price of a 12kg cylinder was reduced by Tk49 from Tk1,442 to Tk1,393.
BERC officials said the LPG price witnessed a decline in the local market due to a decrease in the prices of Saudi CP (contract price).
Bangladeshi LPG operators normally import their products from the Middle East market on the basis of Saudi CP.
