Although Chittagong University is the largest university in the country, there is no Teacher-Student Center (TSC). Even though almost 59 years have passed since its inception and students have repeatedly demanded for a TSC, it has never seen the light of day due to the apathy of the authorities.
The current university authorities have taken the initiative to establish TSC of the university to create social and cultural harmony; But it is not in the campus, but in Chittagong city. For this purpose, the authority has sent a letter to the District Commissioner on July 1 asking for 15 kathas of land from the Chittagong district administration.
In the letter signed by University Registrar (Acting) KM Noor Ahmad, it is said that although TSC facility is available in various universities of the country including Dhaka University, it is absent in Chittagong University. But the establishment of TSC is essential to create social and cultural harmony within the university family.
