A gas cylinder exploded in a CNG-powered autorickshaw moving in Chandnaish of Chittagong. At that time, the driver died due to burns. However, the identity of the deceased driver was not immediately known.

The incident took place at Gachbaria College Gate area of ​​Chandnaish around 3:30 pm on Monday (March 25).
Eyewitnesses said that at 3:00 p.m., a CSG-driven autorickshaw headed towards Patia was chasing the in-charges of Dohazari Police Box at Mazar Point Bridge area on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway and while returning to the opposite direction, it collided with a Baluvarti truck (Chatt Metto Sh-11-3441) coming from behind. The autorickshaw’s gas cylinder exploded and caught fire. Meanwhile, a woman passenger in the auto-rickshaw fell in front and survived, but the driver was burnt to death.
