Power restored in Saint Martin

Electricity has finally returned to the only coral island of Saint Martin after a long period of outage.
Residents had been without power since Friday evening.
The power was restored around 11:30am, bringing relief to thousands of residents on the island.
Blue Marine Energy Limited, the electricity producer for Saint Martin, reported that the outage was caused by issues with the server of the token recharge software managed by Scoob Technology Limited’s solar projects in Bangladesh.
However, the problem has now been resolved.
Engineer Md Rafiqul Islam from Blue Marine Energy Limited explained: “The power supply was interrupted due to server issues with the software. The situation is now normal, and everyone has been reconnected to electricity.”
When asked, Mujibur Rahman, chairman of the Saint Martin Union Parishad, said: “The islanders received electricity after a day. The electricity provider had stopped supply due to software issues, but now power is available.”
Local resident Nur Mohammad said: “Electricity has returned after being out. It has been off since last evening.”
Meanwhile, Blue Marine Energy Limited had previously issued a message stating that the token recharge software for solar projects managed by Scoob Technology Limited in Bangladesh faced server issues, preventing recharges. Software programmers from China and Bangladesh are working together to resolve the problem. They also expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience.
