Following the resignations of advisers Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain and Mahfuj Alam, their ministerial portfolios have been reassigned.

The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification on Thursday after receiving directives from the Office of the Chief Adviser.

Under the new allocation, Syeda Rizwana Hasan has been given charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Asif Nazrul has been assigned the Ministry of Youth and Sports, while Adilur Rahman Khan will oversee the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.

In addition, Asif Nazrul will simultaneously continue to head the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

Adilur Rahman Khan will also retain responsibility for the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan will continue to oversee the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change as well as the Ministry of Water Resources.
