Habiganj-4 constituency’s member of parliament Barrister Sayedul Huq Sumon has filed a general diary after receiving a threat of killing.
He filed the general diary with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in Dhaka on Saturday (June 29) night.
In the GD, Barrister Sumon mentioned that while staying in Dhaka on June 27 last, he received a phone call from the official phone of his constituency Chunarughat Police Station’s officer-in-charge (OC) on WhatsApp at about 2 o’clock at night.
The OC said, “A powerful unknown group has employed a team of four to five killers three days ago to kill you. Please, don’t go out at night and be very careful.”
Sumon also mentioned in his GD that “When I wanted to know the identities of unknown people, the OC declined to tell me about their identities and suggested me to be very careful. Knowing this thing, I have been suffering from serious insecurity.”
Barrister Sumon was elected as an independent candidate with huge margin from Habiganj-4 constituency in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election.
