Bangladesh has received $23.92 billion as remittances in the recently concluded fiscal year 2023-24, with $2.54 billion coming in June.
According to central bank data released on Monday, the remittance inflow in June is the highest in 47 months, as expatriate workers sent more money home on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Azha.
Besides, the country witnessed the highest remittance inflow in FY24 in the last three years.
The remittance receipts were $2.19 billion in the same period of last year, according to Bangladesh Bank data
