Masud Uddin Chowdhury, a retired three-star Army general who rose to prominence during the 2007-08 caretaker government, has been detained by detectives during a late-night raid at a house in Dhaka’s Baridhara DOHS area.
”Yes, we have arrested him,” said DB chief Shafiqul Islam, adding that, ”There are as many as five cases against him.”
On July 3, 2025, a Dhaka court ordered the seizure and freezing of movable assets belonging to former MP Masud Uddin, following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
