Secretariat reopens after Eid holidays

 

Government activities at the Secretariat resumed in full swing after a seven-day Eid holidays, with offices bustling from Tuesday morning on the first working day.

 

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman began a busy schedule, arriving at the Secretariat at 9AM. Officials reported that he immediately engaged in a series of important meetings.

At the begginning, Krishna Srinivasan, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department (APD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister has several more meetings scheduled at the Secretariat from the afternoon until the evening.

 

Meanwhile, all offices, banks and insurance companies reopened today after Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

A large number of working people have started returning to the capital Dhaka from their village homes after celebrating the Eid with their dearest ones. There found huge crowd of working people at train, bus and launch terminals.
