Bangladesh’s total stock of fuel oil has reached 192,919 tonnes as of Tuesday, according to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

Monir Hossain Chowdhury, Joint Secretary (Operations) and spokesperson of the division, disclosed the figures at a press briefing held at the Secretariat on the overall energy situation.

He said the current stock includes 128,939 tonnes of diesel, 7,940 tonnes of octane, 11,431 tonnes of petrol, and 44,609 tonnes of jet fuel.

Chowdhury added that fuel supply remains steady through regular imports.

He also noted that plans are being made to ensure adequate jet fuel reserves in view of the upcoming Hajj season.
