National Scouts leadership meets PM

 

The National Executive Committee of Bangladesh Scouts held a formal meeting with Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman on Wednesday to discuss the role of the scouting movement in nation-building and upcoming international events.

The meeting took place in Cabinet Division’s conference room at the Secretariat, according to Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

The delegation was led by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani.

During the session, the Scouts’ leadership provided an overview of their current initiatives and long-term strategic plans. They emphasized their commitment to fostering leadership and civic responsibility among the youth.

PM commended the organization for its efforts in shaping the younger generation into patriotic and socially conscious citizens. As a gesture of honor, the delegation presented the Prime Minister with a traditional Scout scarf at the start of the meeting.

The committee also briefed the Prime Minister on an upcoming international Scouts conference, which is slated to be hosted in Dhaka this December. The representatives requested continued government assistance to expand their footprint across the country.

The meeting was attended by senior government officials, including Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Prime Minister’s Adviser Mahdi Amin, Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar, and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Ehsanul Haque.
