A youth has been allegedly picked up and shot dead in Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar. Shamim Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station said that the body was recovered with the help of camp administration and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Khairul Amin (36), son of Zamir Hossain, resident of Block H-14 of Rohingya Camp No. 15, Jamtoli, Ukhiya, was killed. Police said the deceased youth was an active member of the RSO. This incident happened on Friday (June 15) around 8:30 pm.
It is known that Md Khairul Amin (36), son of Zamir Hussain, a member of Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), was forcibly taken away from the victim’s shed yesterday at around 8:30 pm under the leadership of Arsa Commander Salim. After that, the body of Khairul Amin was recovered from the paddy field of Mosharkhola Bangali Para in neighboring Ukhia and brought to Ukhia police station.
Shamim Hossain, officer-in-charge of Ukhia Police Station, said that the bodies of the victims were recovered and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
