Bangladesh aims world’s largest flag-parachuting display on Victory Day

As part of the grand nationwide celebrations of Victory Day on Tuesday, Bangladesh is set to attempt a world record by parachuting with the largest number of national flags.

To mark the country’s 54 years of independence, 54 paratroopers from the Bangladesh Army, Air Force and Navy will perform a flag-bearing skydive at Tejgaon Old Airport around 11:40 AM, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record.

Before the parachuting event, the Army, Navy and Air Force will conduct separate fly-past demonstrations at the same venue starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a special Victory Day band show.

Similar fly-past displays will also be held in other cities across the country.

Additionally, the police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Ansar will organize band shows nationwide. All events are open to the public.
