Being asked to bat, the visitors got a sluggish start as they lost four wickets in 68 runs.
However, a 67-run stand between Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah Riyad in the fifth wicket provided Bangladesh to post 153 losing six wickets after 20 overs.
Hridoy hit a 47-ball 58 with two sixes and four fours while Riyad got 31 from 22 balls.
Steven Taylor picked up the highest two wickets for USA.
