The fire that broke out in an oil-laden vessel in the Buriganga River near Fatullah Bazar in Narayanganj district on Wednesday, has been brought under control.
Deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence (media cell) Shahjahan Shikder confirmed the information, adding that the fire broke out around 13:32 pm and engulfed the vessel soon.
On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3pm, he added.
