Govt appoints 673 candidates from 27th BCS

The government has appointed 673 candidates of 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination who were previously left out, following a court verdict.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification on Thursday based on recommendations from Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

According to the notification, the newly appointed officers are required to join their respective offices under the relevant cadre-controlling ministries or divisions by January 1, 2026. If no further instructions are received from the ministries or divisions, the appointees must report to duty on that date.

The gazette further warned that failure to join within the stipulated time will be considered as refusal to accept the appointment and the appointment letters will be automatically cancelled.
