Government employees stationed outside their home constituencies, voters engaged in election duties and individuals in jail can register for postal voting through the Postal Vote BD app until December 25, Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) has announced.

The registration window has opened following the declaration of the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Meanwhile, voter registration for expatriates in Saudi Arabia and six other countries has resumed.

December 6 was the last date for overseas voters to update their addresses on the Postal Vote BD app.

Voters who previously submitted incorrect address information can now correct their full residential, workplace or known contact details through the app’s edit menu.

So far, 1,94,579 Bangladeshi expatriates have registered through the platform.
