A nationwide awareness campaign titled the “Super Caravan” was launched on Monday to promote the upcoming 13th parliamentary election and referendum on the July National Charter.
The programme was formally inaugurated at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, with the deployment of 10 campaign vehicles that will travel across all 64 districts and 300 upazilas.
Information and Broadcasting Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam attended the inauguration.
In a video message, Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus said the country is passing through a crucial phase, with both a national election and a referendum ahead.
He said the Super Caravan aims to take election-related information to people’s doorsteps, raise awareness about voting rights and encourage public participation.
He stressed that voting is a constitutional right, not a privilege, and called on citizens—particularly youths, women and first-time voters—to actively take part in the democratic process.
The campaign will continue its outreach activities nationwide in the coming weeks.
