At least three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a pickup truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Rangamati.
The incident took place on the Rangamati-Chittagong highway in the Kalabagan area of Ghagra upazila on Thursday morning.
Two of the victims were identified as Md Hanif 50, and Nabi Hossain, 50. The name of the other victim could not be known yet.
Among the injured, Saikat Chakma is undergoing treatment at Rangamati Sadar Hospital and Nur Azim was sent to Chittagong for better treatment.
Rangamati Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Shah Imran said the pickup truck had hit the autorickshaw and both vehicles fell into a ditch after losing control.
