NCP march attacked in Habiganj; Sarjis, Patwary injured

 

An attack was allegedly carried out on the ‘July March’ program of the NCP in Habiganj on Tuesday afternoon. Several NCP leaders including Sarjis Alam and Nasiruddin Patwari, and activists were injured.

 

Moreover, several vehicles were vandalized during the incident. The incident occurred in the Habiganj Sadar area on Tuesday, July 28.

 

National Citizen Party Joint Member Secretary Saleh Uddin Sifat confirmed the accident and said, miscreants launched an unprovoked attack on the motorcade of Patwari and Sarjis during the July March in Habiganj. Journalists were also injured during the attack.

 

He added, Sarjis and Patwari sustained injuries during the assault. Terrorits targeted NCP meadia team’s microbus inside the Habiganj District Circuit House premises, committing heinous act within a state institution.

 

In addition to vandalizing the microbus, the attackers also snatched away mobile phones and cameras.
