Bangladesh is going to host the 2026 edition of the men’s SAFF Championship in Dhaka from November 4 to 17

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has officially confirmed the dates and host nation.

All member nations of SAFF are expected to participate in the tournament, which remains South Asia’s most prestigious international football competition.

As part of the build-up to the championship, the tournament’s official logo will be unveiled in Dhaka on July 25, while the official draw is scheduled to take place in Thimphu, Bhutan, on August 1.

Announcing the tournament details, SAFF General Secretary Purushottam Kattel expressed his enthusiasm about the event.

“We are delighted to announce the dates and venue for the SAFF Championship 2026. This tournament holds a special place in our hearts and has delivered countless memorable moments for football fans across South Asia over the years.”

The announcement comes shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, providing fresh excitement for football supporters across the region.

Commenting on Bangladesh’s selection as host, Kattel highlighted the country’s growing passion for the sport.

The 2026 edition will mark the 15th SAFF Championship and the first time Bangladesh has hosted the tournament since 2018. The return of SAFF’s flagship competition to Dhaka is expected to further boost enthusiasm for football across the country and the wider South Asian region.
