A meeting of the BNP’s national standing committee is underway at the party chairman’s political office in Gulshan.
The meeting began at 7:30pm on Saturday and is being chaired by BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
BNP Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury attended the meeting.
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Standing Committee member Selima Rahman and Women, Children and Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain were also present.
