Three trains on Bangladesh-India route will be closed for nine days from Friday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The trains are — Bangladesh-India Maitree Express, Bandhan Express and Mitali Express trains.
The Bangladesh Railway authorities said inter-country train service will remain suspended in order to prevent schedule disruption during Eid.
The Maitree Express will remain suspended from June 14 to June 22, the Bandhan Express from June 14 to June 20 and Mitali Express from June 12 till June 21.
Meanwhile, all goods trains except container and fuel oil trains will remain suspended from 12am on June 14 till 6pm on June 18.
Meanwhile, the number of intercity trains will be reduced during the three days of Eid holidays .
