Foreign travellers can now apply online for Bangladesh’s on-arrival and transit visas, with the new service fully operational from Wednesday, immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka said.
Under the new system, foreign passengers seeking an on-arrival or transit visa can complete the application process online before travelling to Bangladesh.
Travellers can scan a QR code and access the designated website to fill out the on-arrival visa application form.
The online system is expected to reduce the time required to complete visa-related procedures after arriving at the airport.
The Shahjalal International Airport Immigration Police website has also published information on the new online application facility.
