City Corporation launched digital pay-parking service in Chittagong

Chittagong City Corporation has launched mobile app-based digital pay-parking services experimentally to reduce traffic congestion in Chittagong city. Initially, common people in Agrabad area of ​​the city can park their cars in exchange of money by registering on an app called ‘Yes Parking’.

City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the pilot project program at Ichamati Hall of Agrabad Hotel on Sunday (June 30).

According to City Corporation sources, a commercial company named B-Track Solutions will manage the paid parking program. Common people can rent parking spaces both online and in cash through the Yes Parking app. In front of Silver Spoon in Agrabad and on Dutch-Bangla Bank Road, 177 cars have been initially parked. By registering on the app, city dwellers can park three-wheelers and four-wheelers for just Tk 30 per hour and two-wheelers or scooters for Tk 15.

In the opening ceremony, City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, ‘I am trying to bring digital solutions to solve civic problems. As part of this, pay-parking has been introduced in Agrabad to reduce traffic congestion. Leveraging the experience of this pilot project, more pay-parking spots will be introduced in the city in the future.
