PM Modi extends invitation to Tarique Rahman for BRICS Summit

 

Indian PM Narendra Modi has invited PM Tarique Rahman to attend the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi this Spetember as a special guest.

 

The letter of invitation for the summit has already reached the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obayed confirmed.

 

She shared the information while speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday, July 23.

 

‘The invitation letter sent by India was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and we have forwarded it to the Prime Minister’s Office,’ the State Minister said.

 

She added that the 18th BRICS Summit will take place on September 12 and 13 in New Delhi, India. Although Bangladesh is not a member state of BRICS, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the invitation to Bangladesh’s Prime Minister to participate as a special guest.
