Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rainfall across the country for the next three days.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,” said a BMD bulletin for Thursday.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the Chittagong division and fall slightly elsewhere across Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, due to a strong monsoon deep convection is taking place over North Bay. gusty or squally weather may affect the maritime ports and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no 3.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
