The 115th edition of the traditional Jabbarer Balikhela is being held in Chittagong next Thursday.

The 115th traditional Abdul Jabbar balikhela will be held at historic Laldighi Maidan in Chittagong on Thursday, 12th Baisakh, 25th April.
Abdul Jabbar’s Balikhela, a hundred-year tradition, will be held at Laldighi Maidan in the city. Besides Jabbar Balikhela, the Boishakhi fair will continue for three days. NHT Holdings Limited is sponsoring this event.
In this regard, City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, “Jabbar Balikhela is our tradition of hundred years.” We have to keep this tradition. A three-day fair is held around Jabbar Balikhela. Small traders come from far and wide. Request to all, we have to take the initiative so that the new generation retains our tradition. A wrestling training center will be established so that future generations can retain the tradition of bolikhela.
Abdul Jabbar Memorial Wrestling Competition and Boishakhi Mela committee president and local Andarkilla ward councilor Jaharlal Hazari said that the fair will be held on April 24, 25 and 26. The fair will be outside the field.
