Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has arranged ‘artificial rain’ through spray cannons to keep the city cool amid this intense heat. They have been sprinkled water in the areas under the DNCC.
On Saturday, the city corporation sprayed the water at Agargaon with two spray cannons where mayor Md Atiqul Islam was present.
Children were very happy to see this and got wet. Mayor Atiq also got wet with them cheerfully.
Besides, special 250 vans carrying pure water for drinking were also stand by there.
Atiqul Islam said, “Water is being sprinkled every day from morning to afternoon through DNCC’s two spray cannons and 10 browsers. Each vehicle holds 15,000 liters of water and can spray continuously for five hours.”
