Educational institutions are opening on Sunday

Even as the intense heat wave continues across the country, school holidays are not increasing. As a result, the Ministry of Education said that after a week’s holiday, class-exams will start in secondary and higher education institutions from next Sunday.Last Thursday, the Ministry of Education issued a notification and informed this information.

According to the notification of the Ministry of Education, the holiday of the Directorate of Secondary Higher Education has been extended by one week due to the continuation of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. After the holidays, educational institutions will be open as usual from next Sunday and class activities will continue.Assemblies will be closed until the heat comes down to a tolerable level. The portion of class activities that are conducted outside the classroom and exposed to sunlight will be limited.Class activities will continue on Saturday until further instructions to meet the learning deficit and achieve learning results as per the new curriculum due to heatwave and other reasons
Schools and colleges were supposed to open after the Eid and New Year holidays on April 21. But due to the continuous heat wave since the beginning of April, the temperature exceeded 42 degrees in some districts, and the government announced a holiday in schools and colleges till April 27.
Meanwhile, the ministry has decided to keep schools open on Saturday from May 4. A high-ranking official of the ministry said that the school will be open from May 4 on Saturday. It has been decided. Instructions in this regard will be issued soon.
on the other hand, all government primary schools are opening tomorrow Sunday (April 28) amid intense heat. However, all pre-primary schools will remain closed.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a 72-hour warning or ‘heat alert’ due to heat waves across the country on Thursday. The 72-hour ‘heat alert’ will end on Sunday (April 28) morning.
