The holy Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated today in different parts of the country along with Arab countries including Saudi Arabia.
Today, June 16, Sunday at 10 a.m., local worshipers participated in Eid prayers at Malibagh organized by Khankaye Sureshwari. Khankaye Sureswari has been organizing Eid Jamaat in collaboration with Saudi Arabia for several years.
The local imam said, if the activities of the two countries are followed at the same time on the same day in accordance with Saudi. This Eid with a gap of only a few hours can be held on the same day.
Along with Saudi Arabia, Eid is being celebrated today in various places including Bhad-Khali, Baukhali, Tala, Kalaroa, Ghona in Satkhira. Some villages of 6 upazilas of Barisal have celebrated Eid-Azha in advance. Chandnaish Shahsufi Darbar Sharif of Chittagong, Satkania Mirzakhali Darbar Sharif and Ahmadiyya Jamaat followers living in these villages have long been celebrating Eid-ul-Azha along with Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the Muslims of Dhaka, Gazipur, Madaripur, Gaibandha, Noakhali, Chittagong, Rangpur, Khulna, Bogra, Comilla, Shariatpur, and Rajshahi in various districts performed Eid prayers today in harmony with Saudi Arabia.
Police took security measures to avoid any untoward situation in Eid Jamaat.
From 1928, both Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha began to be celebrated in conjunction with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia.
Late Pir Maulana Ishaq (R.H.) of Sadar Darbar Sharif of Hajiganj Upazila first started the rule and was later followed by his numerous followers.
