The Meteorological Department of Bangladesh (BMD) has predicted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka,Chattogram, Khulna and Barishal divisions on the Eid-ul-Azha day (June 17).
the Meteorological Office has predicted rain in different parts of the country before Eid. Apart from this, the forecast also mentions the possibility of heavy or very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country on the day of Eid i.e. Monday.
Meteorologist Shahinul Islam said, “There is a possibility of rain in most parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, and some parts of Chittagong and Dhaka divisions on Eid.”
According to the Meteorological Office, there is a possibility of very little rainfall on the day of Eid in Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers is also likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
Mild heat wave, which is sweeping over Khulna division and the district of Gopalgonj, may continue.
Rainfall activity may increase, said the BMD in its outlook for next five days.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country and due to excessive moisture content the discomfort may persists.
