A call to observe Ramadan-Eid on the same day worldwide

Due to the unprecedented progress of science, when the moon is seen in the sky, the news is reaching the whole world in an acceptable manner. As a result, there is no prohibition in Islamic Shariah to observe fasting and Eid at the same time. Therefore, the Muslim Ummah Trust has demanded the government to implement the globally uniform Hijri date in Bangladesh as per the decision taken by the highest Fiqh Academy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
On Monday (February 26) at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club in the capital, these were held in a national seminar to demand the implementation of a universal Hijri date in Bangladesh like other Muslim countries in accordance with the decision taken by the highest fiqh academy of the OIC including ‘Ulama-Masaikh through the use of Quran-Sunnah and astronomy and modern technology. Speakers speak.
The speakers said that the word ‘dependent on the sighting of the moon’ for fasting and Eid is unnecessary and creates errors. There is no need to see the moon from country to country in the world. If the moon is seen anywhere in the world, then the lunar month should be understood. Just as we have accepted the clock as an aid to follow the instructions of the Qur’an, similarly we can follow the ‘International Hijri Calendar’ as an aid to the instructions of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam in sighting the moon.
A moon in the sky, so new moon rising in any country not only neighboring countries means lunar month has started.
Therefore, in the light of the Qur’an-Sunnah and Astronomy, numerous Ulama Mashaikh and the International Islamic Academy have decided that,If there is news of sighting of the new moon in the western part of the world, if the news reaches the people living in the eastern part of the world in an acceptable manner, or if the new moon is visible in the sky of the world due to astronomy, on the same date, the entire Muslim Ummah must perform all the worships centered on the lunar month, including fasting and Eid. I demand to celebrate Chandramasa in Bangladesh in one and the same way.
President of Hijri Calendar Implementation Council and distinguished nuclear scientist Professor Dr. M. Shamsher Ali presided. Col. (retd.) Md. Ashraf Uddin presented the main speech in the seminar.
