A terrible fire broke out in the freezer of a building under construction in Baklia of Chittagong city. The fire broke out in the cold storage named Taja Multipurpose Cold Storage Limited on Syed Shah Road under Baklia police station. Seven units of three stations of the fire service are working to control the fire.
The fire broke out at around 10:45 am on Friday (March 1) in the building next to the Power Development Board (PDB) on Access Road.
Assistant Director of Chittagong Divisional Fire Service Station Abdul Malek confirmed the matter. He said, seven units of three stations are working to control the fire. Among them, three units from Agrabad station, two from Chandanpura station and two each from Lamar Bazar station are working to control the fire. No casualty has been reported so far.
